Hi all!
Well what a disgusting day, weatherwise, it has been today :( .
Wind, rain, more wind and rain and now wind and rain....see the theme there?
We really shouldn't complain because, after all, it IS winter. The only thing missing is the finger-numbing cold and snow. Probably get that in March!

Been out to dinner this evening with darling daughter, super son and daughters' hubby. A pub close to us was closed down and refurbished into a new pub with restaurant - and it was very good! The food, for a pub, was given 8/10 from all of us which is a pretty high score really as we're quite tight when it comes to giving out marks!

Had time to indulge my crafty passion earlier and made this Tag to enter the following challenges :

The Squirrel and the Fox - #62 embellishments

Delicious Doodles - #73 - Die cuts and/or punches

This is the first embellished tag I've made up to now.
I made this with Kraft card, which I also used for the SIZZIX birdcage die.
The rest of the decoration and paper are from my stash x

New Stuff!

Hi peeps!
Popped into Asda this morning for some bits n bobs and found they're selling a Valentine cupid heart stamp for £1 and I thought "I'd be daft not to buy one"!
So when I  came home I made a card for the NEW challenge over at Cute Card Thursday!

Using the new stamp, this is my entry and I've added a picture of the new stamp!!!

I had a brilliant weekend away - it was fab! The hotel was OK but our room was absolutely boiling yet Michelle and Jay told me theirs was cool! We even left the window open day and night and also turned the radiators down but to no avail - it stayed like the inside of an oven and I hardly slept a wink! We did try and find Michelle a hot water bottle in the city centre but i don't think people in Canterbury use them as we couldn't find one anywhere!
Today I couldn't be bothered doing a great deal so darling daughter and super son watched the new film 'Saving Mr.Banks' with me. And, it was good! You can't go wrong with Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson really!
This evening I decided to sort my challenge file out as I was getting very confused with weekly, bi-weekly, monthly challenges etc and now it's all organised into date order and I almost missed entering this card into the PHOTO INSPIRATION challenge at Addicted To Stamps and ANYTHING GOES at Through The Craft Room Door

On generic white card I used black stazon ink and stamped heart images and then, using wooden embellishment hearts from my stash, I covered them in bright inks and stamped inbetween the larger ones.
I decided to stick 3 of the wooden hearts to the centre of the larger heart images and then used a few shiny hearts stuck to the others. Silky purple ribbon sets it off.

Thursdays news!

Good evening peeps.

I haven't managed to post anything interesting (do I ever?) for a day or two and I guess today won't be much different either!

Yesterday I went to the hairdressers and had a cut and colour and paid the horrendous sum of.........well, let's just say it's beans on toast for a couple of weeks! Why does the hair salon have to be so very expensive? I'm damn sure the hairdressers themselves don't work for £40,  £50 or whatever per hour either.
I know I could always go to a different salon and perhaps pay less but, truthfully, I've been with the same hairdresser for about 10 years now and can't face change in case it's crap!!!
So, for now I love the cut and colour but I'm dreading washing and styling it myself as it won't look the same at all!
Felt quite unwell in the evening though so had an early night hoping for a good nights sleep - which I didn't have so been tired all day today.

And, talking of today, I went to the hospital for xrays on my ankles as I've probably got arthiritis in them and mobility is very painful. But, what a faff with the buses! One bus to get there but 2 to get home and then a taxi for the last leg. Ridiculous non-bus service at tea time!

I have been busy with some scrapbooking in my craft room over the last few days but I have managed to make a few cards just for fun. Sometimes it's nice just to let creativity flow and make whatever feels good at the time instead of following the 'challenges'.

I'm off to see my friend in Canterbury tomorrow with two other friends Jason and Michellebelle! He who works very hard is meeting us there as he is currently in London and it makes sense for him to travel from London to Kent as opposed to travelling back to Leyland then down to Kent!!!! Really looking forward to seeing her again (and her eldest son Giannis and his girlfriend). She lives in Zakynthos and is only visiting here for two weeks so lots of gossip and nattering to catch up on.

Right, all that news has tired me out so I'm signing off for a few days.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Lou x
