LOVE IS THE DRUG....!

First of all may I wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

I hope some lucky ladies received lovely gifts when they got up this morning.
I didn't :(  tee-hee
And the reason for this? Well, HE WHO WORKS came home last night (3 weeks away this time) and after a hot bath, food, coffee and having the TV remote to himself (!) he is STILL asleep!!! It's only 11.24 am GMT here! I know how hard his work is so he deserves the rest.

Anyhoo, we don't really 'celebrate' Valentines' but we do usually buy each other a card and some chocs or something! Actually, he usually goes one step further and buys chocs AND flowers!!!
If he has had time to buy anything that is!!!

12.59pm

RESULT!!! Yes, he did have time to buy something - a mahoosive box of Ferrero Rocher and a hoooooj bouquet of flowers! Plus a beautiful card (his words - "I thought I'd buy one with bits on the front that you can peel off and use"!!!) He knows me so well!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

However, back to business - I'm entering both of these cards into challenges at :

Addicted to CAS - Theme LOVE
Artistic Inspirations - ~Theme Anything Goes/Valentine

Romantic? Me?

Good evening all!

As this is my second visit to my blog today, I thought i'd share the news that I now have 5 fence panels lying on the grass as opposed to a couple i mentioned the other day.
One of them though is now beyond repair - in fact make that 5!!!
Also, these horrendous gale force winds have totally smashed into my neighbours greenhouse and for a good 30 minutes earlier, all I could hear was glass breaking as the panes slid down the panels and smashed onto the ground. At one point I thought the whole thing was going to take off!

At least we are luckier than those who are being bombarded with constant floods. I'd really hate that, so I do feel for them, I really do.

Anyhoo, onto the cards.

I made these today and I'm entering them both into Challenge #3 at The Stamping Boutique.

I would like to enter the JUST TO SAY card into challenge One Layer Anything Goes at Less Is More

JUST TO SAY - I made this card with a floral stamp I received free in a craft magazine lately! All I had to do was colour it using my Spectrum Noir markers.

EYE CHART card - I took inspiration for this one from a picture I saw
online but cannot remember exactly where which is a shame as i think it does deserve a link.
Quite simple to make which is great as I love CAS cards!

Cherry blossom tag

Hi again!

Just remembered that I need to enter this tag into a challenge at Sketch Saturday!

Challenge #296.

I do like making tags. There is a different feel to making tags compared to cards! Well, I think there is anyway! I guess it's because you can go a little mad on a tag - not that I have done here though!

I used Sheena Douglass A little bit oriental stamp on white card which I coloured with my Spectrum Noir markers and mounted on the card with sticky foam squares to give them height. A little like decoupage I think.
For the  mini tag and the sentiment card I used ikandee pearlescent chalks to give the white card a softer look to it.

If not, then I just hope you like what you see and if you would like to message me about doing them for yourself, family, friends or as gifts I would gladly have a chat.

These pics are samples of 2 albums i've made for family of my daughters wedding.

Owl always love yoooooooo!

Afternoon peeps!

Well, the title of my blog post might just be giving some heavy hints as to what is special about this week.
As I mentioned it yesterday, there's no need to mention it again.
Oh, go on then............it's fix the fence week!!!!! Yaaaaaayyyy!
Only jesting; we all know St.Valentines' day is on Friday but does everyone know who St Valentine was?
No?
Google it......lol xxx

Ok, education over so now for the interesting stuff!

Here's one I made earlier!!!! Actually didn't start this til lunchtime as I didn't have my crafty-mojo on this morning, Wonders will never cease eh?
I've been severely distracted by the Winter Olympics which I love - well, it's sport isn't it so, if it moves, I will watch it - however I am now an expert in the art of curling and it's the least energetic of the games so far so if I had to try one then that would be it!

Onto the card! I chose the Valentine/Love theme for these cute little owls who I purchase from digital site Pink Gem Designs and I adore them!
I was sorely tempted to give them names but talked myself out of it............for now!
I used Pearlised Ivory card from Crafters Companion for the card base which I layered with embossed Kraft card. Some of the embossed pattern I picked out with my Versamark pen and used gold embossing powder to give them a little shine.
I used Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the cheeky owls and used my stash to decorate the rest of the card,
All in all, a cute little card methinks!!!
Hope you agree!

Cute Birdie!

Evening everyone.
Hope everybody's had a lovely weekend and I bet most of you are looking forward to the next one already!
I know I am as 'He who works' hasn't been home for 2 weeks now but told me they will all be back for Valentines weekend - fix the fence and chippy tea for us then!!!!
Talking about the fence (I might as well!) there has been no point in fixing it for several weeks as the wind has blown it down so often that as soon as it's back in place it's blown down again!
Also, going in the garden means I have to look at it and I hate when it looks bedraggled and untidy as it always does in the winter (and sometimes in the summer too!).
Really need to organise a gardener this year. I can't do the work myself anymore and we all hate doing it anyway!

Anyhow, the reason for the title of the post - this little card.

I made this using an image from www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk which are really sweet and all £1 at the moment!
I used Spectrum Noir BT1 , BT2 and GB6 to colour him in!
The mint chevron paper is from Pinkpetticoat too.
I didn't have any minty coloured pearl gems so I coloured 3 of them with my Spectrum Noir marker (BT2) and it worked just fine!
After punching a border across the bottom, I found some narrow minty ribbon in my ribbon box and threaded it through - lovely!
