Hello You!

Hi all. Just a quick note today as I'm just about to go and make some dinner as I am STARVING!
Who invented diets anyway?
I made this little beauty this afternoon after I wrote a short note in another 'HELLO' style card to my friends Mum. She's a lovely lady and I think receiving letters is a great start to the day so hopefully she'll receive it on Monday.

Onto todays creation! This is another CAS card and I think it's really cute! I'm entering it into

Cute card Thursday #310 Springtime

Thursday blues

Good morning everyone.
Today is a sad day for football fans the world over and especially for Preston North End fans as it is the funeral of Prestons' son - Sir Tom Finney.
My father and uncle knew him, I didn't although I did knock on his door collecting for charity or something when I was 11 - nobody home though!!!
He is known as a fabulous footballer and an honourable gentleman - a lovely man.
Preston city centre is practically closed this morning as the funeral cortege will travel from North End to St.John's Minster for the funeral service.
I've been listening to people (famous and unknown) talk about him on the local radio station BBC Lancashire and it does make you feel so humble knowing how many thousands and thousands of people think so highly of this one man. He makes Preston very proud.

However, onto business.
This cutie is for the challenge at All Dressed Up - #9 - Follow a Sketch.
She is coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and I think she's lovely!

CAS again!

Well here's my second card of the day.

I love the CAS concept (as you all know by now because I keep banging on about it!) and this is definitely CAS!!!

I embossed the 'hello' with gold embossing powder so that it would match with the metal butterfly (upcycled from an old hair band - it started out cream and I coloured it with Spectrum Noir EB9 to make it more bronzey!) and the little metallic flowers! Have no idea what they're usually used for but they were in my stash so........why not? !!!

I'm entering it into this challenge Less is more - recipe 160 - theme - metal

Good morning all.

Today spring is definitely in the air.....well, it was until an hour ago!
It was a lovely morning - fresh, bright, mild and it made me feel 'outdoorsy' so I went outdoors!

Special Day

Good morning everybody.

Welcome to a brand new crafty week!
I hope I have lots of energy to plough into fab creations - one never knows!

I have had a very quiet weekend though. 'He who works' came home with his usual bag of washing and no prezzies for me....I keep asking for them but for some reason I don't get them- he reckons he's working hard and has no time to buy them. Any excuse!!!!!! Bless him!
We did have the birthday tea on saturday for the son-in-law. We went to Tesco for birthday nibbles - £54 later (Hahahahahaha) we came home!
Why does food have to be so darned expensive>? We all would be much better off if we didn't have to eat!

On to the card-making then :

I decided to use my Sizzix tag die and then distress it with Tim Holtz antique linen ink pad and then the Spellbinders label die for the sentiment.
In fact, this card developed over the afternoon! I had in mind a distressed card and ended up stamping, embossing and colouring too!

I'm entering it into the following challenges :-

Scrapology - Theme - Mothers Day/Special Lady
The Stamping Boutique - Theme - Punch/Die-cut
Challenges 4 Everybody - Theme - #38 Anything Goes
Feeling Crafty Challenge - Theme - #25 Dies/Punches
Cardmaking and Papercraft - Theme - Mothers Day

Saturday 22 February 2014

Hi!

Good evening everyone.

I haven't updated my blog for a few days now - I decided to have a change and organise some photos for scrapbooks that need doing.
Found several online photo processing websites who had great offers on. I managed to buy 145 prints for about £6 including delivery - result!
I'm quite looking forward to doing the scrapbooks - my crafty mojo did take a downward swoop lately and I think that was because I was overdoing it - spending too much time using my brain!!!! (yes, I know that's difficult to believe!) but it's true. It becomes very cerebral (check me out for using a big word...) when you are having to think of several designs a day - poor you, I hear you say. HAhahahahaha, yeah right!

However today, before we held a birthday tea party for......wait for it.......drum roll please.............my son-in-law who was 34 yesterday!...yes, I know......I made a card for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blogspot - Sketch 43.
The bunny in the plant pot is such a cute image from Somebunny to Love which I coloured with good old Spectrum Noir markers and the little flowers I sprinkled with pink glitzy glitter but they don't look as sparkly on the photos.

Busy Bee - That's Me!!!!

Afternoon everyone.

First off, let me tell you I hate those days when everything happens at once; those days when you could have done to stay in bed. The reason why i'm whingeing is because this morning just went belly-up. House phone and mobile ringing in unison, door-bell, visitors.......grrrrr! Every other day this week, nothing will happen - so why does it have to all go off at once? I just cannot cope!

So, I did eventually sit down in my 'sanity' room and make this card to enter into these challenges :

Less is More Wk 159 challenge - Theme - Masculine

Artistic Inspirations - challenge #79 - Theme - Anything Goes/Masculine.

I hope it's suitable for both challenges!

Cake!

Hi everyone (if there's anybody there do feel free to leave a comment!!!!!)

Today has been a peculiar sort of day - after getting up early and showering I did lots of housework and eventually sat down to make a card at lunchtime!
To be honest, the winter Olympics do take my mind off other things! It's hard to craft and watch bobsleigh at the same time
So, at some point this afty, I decided to make this card. I used my Spectrum Noir markers for the image and highlighted it with sparkly glamour dust.and I'm entering it into these challenges :-

Delicious Doodles - #75 Ribbon/Bling

Addicted to Stamps - #82 Make Your Mark

I used the brightest inks I have on this stamp from my stash!

Tweeting!

Hi all!
The weather here has been just lovely. Sunshine, blue skies and no rain or wind.
The sun really does put a smile on peoples' faces. Although it is quite cold it doesn't matter.
We went out for breakfast and enjoyed being out in the 'dry' for a change!

Now, this card is for the challenge at Craft Your Passion - Theme 200th special so anything from Feb 2013 to today.

I'm entering into challenge 170 July 8th 2013 - PATCHWORK BACKGROUNDS.

#170 Patchwork Backgrounds
