Another Happy Day!

Hi everyone!
Hope you are planning the Easter holidays off the way you mean to go on - with a  few days off work perhaps? A lie-in and maybe breakfast in bed (a hot cup of tea and hot-cross buns would be my preference) :)
I've just found out that CraftStash Live was on Facebook today at 10am as tomorrow is Good Friday so there was a bit of a mix  up with the announcement of the live show :(.
Still, I hope you can follow the link and watch it anyhoo.
The opening shot has one of my cards on the far right of the desk and  one on top of the cabinet, back right!!! Woohoo! My card is the last one to be shared with everyone (at around 26 minutes!).
Here are the cards I made and the first 2 are the ones on the show.

Card 1 - on the desk!

Card 2 - on the cabinet!

Card 3 - plus the other 2, on the website!

I hope you like them!
I used a brand new stamp set by Christine Smith (aka CraftiPotential)  and you can view it (along with all my cards), or even purchase it,  here from the CraftStash website!

It's a shame I didn't realise the time/day change for the Facebook live feed but never mind. The link is above and I'm happy the team liked my cards enough to show them on the show.

I hope you all have a fabulous and peaceful Easter.

Craft Stash on Facebook LIVE!

Good morning everyone :)

I did say I'd update you all on how my application to join the DT at CraftStash is going so today I found out that it's going ok upto now!
I made 3 cards with a specific stamp set which they sent me (and which will be available to purchase from their website on 30th March!).
Janette Daneshmand (CraftStash) received them today and is uber happy with them, which is the first hurdle over with, and plans on showing them on their FACEBOOK LIVE show next Friday (30th) at 10am.
So................PLEASE.......make a note in your diaries and tune in by following my links and watching along with the rest of us and maybe you'll enjoy my makes too!

I'm still fingers crossed that I'll be in the final DT selection and, of course, I'll let you all know if it eventually happens. :).

That's all for now folks!

Recovered!

Hi all!
Well, since we last met (!!!) I have been out celebrating my OH's 50th birthday at Latch in Chorley.
We had a great night on Saturday and imbibed a little too much again and totally couldn't be bothered with anything on Sunday! He had a great birthday party though and I was so happy that loads of people turned up! His face was a picture when he saw surprise friends walking through the door!!! It was about time he had some surprises as he's always doing that to me!
Anyhoo, I think it was Monday before any of us could really be bothered actually joining the land of the living again! Birthday boy (whose birthday was actually yesterday - 20th March) went down to work in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, for the week and had to celebrate the actual date of his birth all on his lonesome! Things like that don't bother him though! He's not a big soft sentimentallist like me.
Also on Monday, our decorator began work in the new, as yet unused, kitchen!
Yes, it's all in place but covered in plastic and dust sheets so as to keep it protected from the paint etc.
I'll put updated pics on here as and when I take them :)

I have made a wedding card for my daughters interior designer! She's due to get married on 3oth March so I made a quick silver on white card and stencilled a mandala pattern with silver embossing powder on the front.

I've made 3 further cards as samples for my application to join the CraftStash design team so, fingers crossed, they'll like them and I'll be able to give some good news soon!

Have a super fun mid-week Wednesday!!!

Hi de HI

Hi all!

So, not  a jot happening here at the moment - certainly not as far as card making/papercraft projects go anyhoo! I won a $15 prize towards a colouring class at Kit and Clowder by entering my sunflower card into the challenge at Outlawz Challenges (see previous post!)  and I chose a fab class which helps me to improve my alcohol marker skills------Skills? Me? Lol!
I've been watching the video tutorial and picking up tips but, it's time consuming and doesn't leave a great deal of time to create new stuff and, I found I needed some new Flesh tone markers so I'm waiting for them to arrive before I tackle any "skin" projects!!!

So to fill in some spare time, I thought I might just  "dabble" for a while - play with my new sparkle pens and some dies and see what happens.......not much to be fair!

Then..........our new kitchen arrived on Friday and the kitchen fitters were here at 8am prompt this morning to start fitting it!!! Woohoo!
At loooooonnnnnnggggg last, there IS light at the end of that enormous tunnel :D

Here is a piccy of  the new kitchen stored in the new kitchen space! The decorator mist-coated the plaster ready for decorating in a week or so AND we have a floor at last!!!

This is today's piccy from a different view!

So, it's all go again and I'll definitely create some new stuff in the near future!
Oh yes, I've had to make a new card for Papercraft Inspirations magazine (issue 178) but I can't upload it until the mag's on sale so be sure to buy it!

Hope you all have a good day - even though it's wet and miserable here, I'll keep smiling and look a little insane as usual!

Winner winner Sunday dinner!!!

Hi all!

I've had two lovely surprises this weekend!

I've been selected as a TOP 3 winner for my submitted card to the All Dressed Up February Challenge! I'm proudly displaying my Top 3 badge here on my blog for all to see! I've decided to enter their call for DT members too. I think I could do with more to do at the moment and I love creating so.....let's see what happens!
Also, I have won a $15 prize over at The Outlawz Challenges for my pretty sunflowers card!
So, there's a super ego-boosting weekend if ever I had one!

My winning entries can be found here and here!

I hope you pop in and have a look at them.

I haven't been idle this week either.
I had a couple of cards to make and here's one of them using an All Dressed Up digi image Feeling Spoilt.

I've used Spectrum Noir Blendable pencils on Sheenas stamping card to colour this lovely image and a generic card/paper pack for the rest.

I also had some wonderful news from our niece and her husband.
Yep! you've guessed it! they're having their first baby in August/September and I couldn't be happier for them.
The bonus bit is they live a couple of hours drive away so I won't be needed for babysitting too often! Lol!

I made this CAS card for them, featuring this cute Elephant from the wonderful Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Again, no fancy paper pack, just one I purchased at The Range but I've used Spectrum Noir marker pens to colour the image. The embossing folder for the background was a free gift with a craft mag but I can't remember which one :(

A busy time but there's never enough hours in the day!

Have you managed to survive the cold, stormy weather we've had this week? We had 2 fence panels which came down with the strong wind but, we're not sure who is responsible for them as we've not long since moved here so, I went to the neighbours which was a lark! To get there I had to walk what seemed like miles as there's no direct route to their house - it's round a few corners and down a ginnel!!! Lol! And to top my adventure off, the couple, who are in their 80's are both deaf so we had a jolly time lip-reading (Amazing skill) and trying to sort it out! I'll go back with my daughter and hopefully we'll all be able to fix things!!!

That's it for now. There's a delivery driver bringing a new washer and dryer soon so I need to make room for them in the partial building site downstairs! It never ends!
