PHewwweeeeee!!!

Wow!!!!
This weather has been AMAZING!
It is burny-hot here and I am a true sun bunny BUT it's even too hot for me right now!
I walked over to the decking a little earlier, with nothing on my feet and......................OW OW OW!!!
It reminded me of walking on hot sand on Xechoriati beach (Zante) and screeching in pain!!!
Something I willl NEVER do again because I thought I wasn't that daft. How wrong can a person be?
LOL!!!

So, with all this fabulous sun in the UK (and not the rest of the world for a change!) I haven't really found alot of time to craft (tee hee!).
I did prepare a couple of makes for Papercraft Inspirations October issue but, as per usual, I can't upload them yet. Safe to say I like 'em tho!!!

I did make my son's 23rd birthday card and, even though he's not a BEER drinker, I did like the stamps and embossing folder which came with Papercraft essentials mag (161) and just had to use them!

I made it into a shaker card for a bit of fun too!

There's a few bits and bobs going on behind the scenes at "Tinkering" HQ at the moment and I will share them with you as soon as I'm able to. Exciting times ahead methinks!!!

So, I bid you all a rather sweaty farewell as I'm off to the freezer for a cool-down.........I mean an ice-lolly!!!

World Cup 2018 or Craftroom???

Hi all!
Well, as you can see by the post title, we are well underway with the FIFA World Cup 2018 and my dilemma would be massive if I weren't able to watch every match in the craftroom while I make stuff and generally have loads of fun!!!! Hahahaha! gotta love sport and crafting. Can't go wrong with both really!
And, you can't go wrong with a bottle of Champagne now and again - even if it's pink Champagne, and made of paper!
This little beauty was inspired by the free gifts which came with Papercraft Essentials issue 161 .
I just couldn't resist making a fresh, feminine card for a friends birthday.

Hoping you all have a fab night of footy and Champers!!!

Good Monday to ya!

Good afternoon everyone.
Before I pop downstairs and begin making a spag bol for dinner tonight, I just thought I'd remind you all to look out for this months Papercraft Inspirations magazine (which is available to buy  from the 20th June in the shops) because my card is in it! Lol!
Of course I'd love you to buy it if only so you can cut out my article and keep it in a frame next to your bed and look upon it lovingly every night...............as I do........................NO I DON'T !!! Just kidding! Honest!!! Good heavens! If you had to look at my vizzog more than once in a blue moon I'd expect you to go doo-lally-tap!!!

So, when (and if) you do buy the mag, turn to page 14 for the fab Reader Tester makes and enjoy the rest of the mag too!!!

A cheery good evening to you all!

Play-time!

Hi all.
We are having a down-turn in the weather at the moment. It has gone from sunny and warm every day to cloudy, overcast and sometimes wet every day! I hate it but it does make me stay in the craft room and have a play with all my stuff!
I recently won a $25 gift voucher for my card under this post Coffee Time and spent it on some stash which I probably wouldn't purchase out of my own purse! I bought THIS set of maze shapes and accessories and had alot of fun creating this little card with them!

I used a First Edition paper pad called Pick n Mix for the geometric shiny bright backing paper and edged a piece of white card with gold glitter for the top layer.
The stamps are from a couple of different sets in my stash but I did have to alter the AMAZING one in order to add the letter E!
There are 2 little metal spheres within the maze to keep you entertained for hours (or minutes if you're an adult) LOL!

My next card was inspired by an article I saw in this months' Papercraft Inspirations magazine where the designer had used the cute Bitsy Bug Dot digi stamp from A Day For Daisies online shop.
I just had to purchase her and start making and this is what I came up with.

I created a simple patterned paper background with a couple of frames, one on top of the other, then added some stamped flowers and leaves from (I think) a Neat and Tangled set (can't remember to be honest!) and a little sentiment from a free gift with a magazine.

All in all, a lovely playful few hours have been spent this weekend  - if that makes sense? It does to me!!!

PS - Sorry my photo's are rubbish again.
My new phone (2nd hand cos you know I dropped my i-phone down the loo and ruined it and now I'm not allowed a new one......................) has a really bad camera on it so it seems like most of my pics are blurry.
Either that or I need new specs.

Have a great night,

CraftStash Facebook Live Show

Hi all.

Just a little post to talk briefly about the fab Craft Stash FB Live video which was on today. My "slider" card was featured  and they'd put it in a frame as I'd posted the image on Facebook for them to look at and use on air today.
I'd used the free stamps with Creative Stamping magazine and I actually made it quite a few weeks ago. The pink pants "slide" across the card when it's tilted and it looks like they're moving along the line!

Just in case you fancy watching the show because you missed it, you'll find it HERE!

That's it for today.
I'm busy doing nothing yet everything's getting done!

Looking ahead!

Hi all.
Well, we have had yet another beautiful and sunny day here in the north of  England. I can quite happily say I love waking up in the morning knowing it's going to be a warm day 😊
It fills me with joy just being able to sit out in the morning sun and enjoy my first cup of tea of the day, listen to the radio and read my book.
Aaaaahhhhh, such simple tastes!

Today has been challenging and interesting at the same time in as much as -
Challenging :- I "wormed" my way into "HIS" shed and began to tidy it and
Interesting   :- because he gave in and let me do it!!!!

It does sound like a reverse psychology ploy on HIS part to argue with me about NEVER being allowed to clean his shed, and all the while waiting for the right time to "LET" me do it so he doesn't have to but.............you don't know my Other Half!!!
He TRULY DEEPLY hates me being in his shed because I moan about the "Tip" it's in!
And I secretly adore organising things, finding places for stuff and just generally putting the world to right one shed at a time!
So today I do feel utterly fulfilled and, the best of it????
HE HELPED!!!!!
Muwahaha (evil giggle!!!)

Anyway, this is meant to be a quick post just for info really. My last card "Catitude" has made it into the August 2018 edition of Making Cards magazine! I know it's ages away yet but there's nothing like being prepared in advance is there and it gives me something lovely to look forward to!

That's it for today.
I'm off to make cards 'cos it's what I do 😁

Catitude!

Hi all.
Todays post is about this cutie which I made using the free gifts with this months Making Cards magazine.
These cats definitely have Catitude and I couldn't wait to use them as soon as I saw the mag on the shelf at the supermarket!
I used the free papers too as I just love the colours in the background.
I stamped the paw prints around the borders using 2 different sized stamps then the cats in the centre before colouring them in with Spectrum Noir markers and stamping the sentiment between them.
I layered the panel onto a piece of yellow card and placed 3d foam pads behind before popping onto the patterned card base.
It was a super simple card and I enjoyed it because it was quick and fun!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine!

Fathers Day - nearly here again!

Hi all.
Fathers day is almost right in the middle of the year which always reminds me it'll soon be Christmas!!! Sorry, just had to say it!
Alot of people in the crafty world are already working on their Christmas cards/gifts etc but, as I always do, I'll leave mine right up to the last minute then panic!
Let's get some summer living over with first eh? What's the rush into winter when we're enjoying the nicest Spring/early summer weather for such a long time? Winter can stay on the back burner forever as far as I'm concerned. Give me sunshine every day!

Anyhoo, back to todays make!
I decided to make a Fathers Day card because I can! My Dad passed away 9 years ago but I can still make him a little card in secret so don't go telling anybody about it! Ssshhhh!!!

Although my photo is slightly tilted......it doesn't really matter. Dad was quirky too!!!

I used Stampin' Up! stamps for this along with black sparkly embossing powder, distress inks, DSP, buttons and generic cardstock.
I did have fun making it as i was just 'playing' really. I wanted to create something which just evolved as it went along. I had no idea in my mind what it was going to look like so when I finished, I liked it!

Sometimes it's fun to just poddle and play! (my word - poddle - for doing nothing worth mentioning!!!!)

Have a great evening

More stuff I forgot!!!

Hi everyone.
So, I completely forgot to publish my post regarding my second Facebook Live with Craftstash UK which occurred 2 weeks ago now :(.
Life's been a little crazy around here lately.  Very busy and I'm completely out of my routine so my brain-fog is thicker than normal so I missed posting on the correct day.
Anyhoo, I was featured, again, on the show using stamps by Creative Stamps ,  and I created a piece home decor instead of a card, and it went down really well! In fact, the ladies declared it a work of art!
Wooooo go me!
Craftstash Facebook Live
The only error I made with this is that I forgot (!!!!) to photograph it before I sent it to them! Here's a snapshot of the screen where they're showing my make!!!

It's actually in lemons and spring colours but that's not so evident here!!! Hope you get the idea tho :)

Since then I've also worked on another piece for Papercraft Inspirations magazine and it's kept me busy for a day or two!

I think that's it for today, so enjoy the rest of the weekend and .......
