Snail Mail and Belated Birthday!

Hi all!

Last week I totally forgot to post my BFF a birthday card :(
Yes, I know. Cardmakers do have the worst record when having to remember our own friends and family's birthdays but what can you do? Well, for a start, I did make a lovely card using digital stamps Wryn Snail Mail and Fairy Fae House from my favourite Tiddly Ink Stamps!
I thought I'd better post it so she'll have it at least on Tuesday but, what happened? She turned up this afternoon with her fella in tow for tea and a slice of cake and I could've given her the card but............oh well! Snail mail might just have to do this time!!!

Still, we did sort some deets out for our upcoming holibob to Zante so it wasn't a wasted visit!!!

Products Used -

6 x 6" white base card
Pastel blue cardstock - Create and Craft
Embossing folder - free with Love Cardmaking (issue 1)
Spectrum Noir and Tonic Nuvo marker pens
Pc and Printer
Pierced edge circle dies - Unbranded.
Mini cloud dies - Xcut

Have a great day!

Catch up time!

Hi all!

Well. I have been so busy creating from morning til night that I just haven't had time to blog about any of my recent makes and successes!!!

I have had a new baby card requested, kind of ASAP!, as the lady who requested it couldn't find a card with the new baby's name on so she thought of me and I'm glad she did! I love making new baby cards - they're really sweet and cute!
This is it and below each photo I've listed the products I used -

White 5 x 7" base card
Pastel pink cardstock - Create and Craft
Hammered white card - Create and Craft
Digital image from Lili of The Valley - Cosy Pram
Spectrum Noir blendable pencils
Spellbinders circle and scallop dies
Ranger Distress Ink - Spun Sugar
water spritzer and paint brush
Pink ribbon and sparkly ric rac ribbon - The Ribbon Girls
Sequins
Pc and printer

The second card I've made this week is for a couple who are celebrating their anniversary with my sister in law in Crete! Their annual holiday falls on the anniversary which, I guess, is just an excuse to have a few more drinks and another party on their summer holibobs!!!
I do know them and I know they have a fab sense of humour so this one is right up their street!

White 6 x 6" base card
Gus and Stella digi stamp from bugaboo stamps
Deco Time cardstock/patterns paper pad
Spectrum Noir/Tonic Nuvo marker pens
pearls and gems
Pc and printer

And Finally!
This week I've been featured as part of the Reader Tester Team in Papercraft Inspirations magazine! (issue 168).
The challenge was to make a shaped card using a choice of templates and papers provided.

I think I did ok with this "bobbin" shaped card. I added some haberdashery (just love that word!) into the make by using stamps and dies and some fussy cutting and made the whole thing into a shaker card for fun! Hope you spotted me in there!

Hope you've had a good week/weekend.
I'm off to do some shopping and I will post the new projects as soon as I'm able!

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday!

Good morning all!

Today is a very special day for me as it's my first Design Team post for Tiddly Inks!
I created a super sweet card using Wryn - Cloud 9 (She's my fave Tiddly Inker!)
Tiddly Inks have an inspirational post once a month, on a Friday, called - Fab Friday!
This Friday, 21st July, is the next one and I'm really chuffed to be featured in it!

I kept this card quite simple and even though the rainbow is brightly coloured, I made Wryn the main focal point by setting Wryn, and her cloud, just over the rainbow and breaking the colours up.

Products used - Basic 6 x 6" white card base
Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon (blue sky)
                          Unbranded pierced edge cloud die.
                          Smooth white cardstock.
Free rainbow stamp from Creative Stamping magazine
Spectrum Noir and tonic Nuvo marker pens
Blue sequins (from a selection at The Range)

Hope you like her and, if you'd like to have this image in your stash, pop over to the Tiddly Inks store where you can purchase it and download to your pooter straightaway!

Have fun colouring and creating :)

Graduate at last!!!

Hi all!
Just a quick update to let you know why I've been MIA for a while!
I've been really busy creating but, at the same time, preparing for my sons' graduation yesterday (Wednesday 12/07/17).
He is now a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Screen writing, Film, TV and Radio.....Phew!
Here's a little snapshot of his day.

The shenanigans didn't stop there though!
The three of us (my daughter included) went out for dinner followed by several seriously tasty cocktails and after a long day I was tucked up in bed by 10pm :)
Thought I might have a teensy hangover this morning but I must be used to the alcohol after all these years! It's unusual to have drinky-poos on a school night though!

Anyhoo, as you know I'm now a proud member of the Tiddly Inks design team and I'm just about itching to get started!
My first post will appear very soon and I'll certainly be showcasing the lovely images which Christy Croll (owner/designer) creates for us all to purchase.

Hope you have a fab day.
I'm away to pack for a weekend in Bonnie Scotland (my, it's a hard life!) and I'll be back here on monday with my first tiddly project!

Such a Happy Day!!!

Hi all!

Well, what a day I've had - but I'll get to that in a mo!

I've had my head down with my projects since I last blogged on Sunday and, well, it's been a chuffin nightmare making my card "just so" before I was happy with it but, at last, I finished it and I've popped it (with the paperwork) in a mailbag and it's ready to post out to Papercrafter magazine, for my DESIGNER FOR THE DAY feaure, in the morning.
I guess it won't be published until September/October as I know magazines are usually prepared for printing a month or so in advance but that's not a problem. It just means I can't post my card here for you to check out until it's "in print"! Oooooh, doesn't that sound fancy?
I do love the sound of it - In Print!!! Tee hee :)
While I've been making that one, my mind has been on my next item for Papercraft Inspirations magazine. Again, I can't say too much about it as it's not yet "In Print"-----there I go again! But, I've still to make that one so I must crack on very soon.

The post came this morning with a prize from one of my craft magazines - a competition I'd entered has won me a set of stamps by Stampin' Up! Lovely. New stuff, free stuff, any stuff is always a bonus in my book and I'm sure I'll be using these soon enough :)

So, onto today's news!
I entered the Tiddly Inks Stamps Design Team call out (mentioned in an earlier post - once or twice!!!) and today I found out that I've been selected to join the team for the next 4 months!!!!
I'm absolutely blown over! Thrilled and excited but a little nervous too as their work is so lovely I don't want to let them down!
And I can use their gorgeous Tiddly Inks stamps all day long - Heaven!

AND, finally, I did manage to find time to create a lovely card for my nieces (??th) birthday on Saturday! I'm sure she wouldn't want me blabbing her age about too much (half as old as me......)
.
I hope you like my use of the Tropical Chick by From The Heart Stamps .

It was a fun card to make and, once I'd printed and coloured the image, I fussy-cut it out and layered it onto my card base with 3d foam pads.
I used generic cardstock for the lovely bright papers,
Spellbinders rectangle dies for the frame,
Free stamps from Creative stamping magazine for the flip-flops and sunglasses,
coloured gemstones
Spectrum Noir/Tonic Nuvo alcohol markers
Computer and Printer for my sentiment.

So, a very productive, and joyful, day all round really which makes a change for me!!!

I hope you're all well and your days going fabulously too :)

Sunday laziness!

Hi all.
Just a quick update as I've been a tad busy (today lazy) and I've not  posted anything for a few days .

I'm posting this from my mobile as I'm just too lazy to get up from the sofa and go upstairs to my laptop! I'm watching the MotoGP and last nights Dr.Who! I really need to get creative as I've alot  to do this week.
I'm creating an article for Papercrafter magazine, making an engagement gift for some friends nephews engagement! and racking my brain for ideas for another project but for Papercrafter Inspirations magazine! Just like buses, work comes in all at once in twos and threes!!!
So I need to move myself and start doing............in a minute 😜!

I hope you're all doing something lovely and more creative than me this weekend!
I'll definitely be more motivated once I've had another coffee and maybe a biscuit or two!
Or not!
