A Manly Day!!!

Hi all!
Just another card to post today and, judging by the post title, you may have guessed that the theme is "male cards" for the majority of challenges.
I used a digi image for the ties, coloured them with Spectrum Noir and cut them out to hang on the twine washing line!!!

This is my little effort - which I've kept quite CAS - for Fathers' Day.

Entered into these challenges - A Creative Romance
                                               Send a Smile 4 Kids

Sunday sunny sunday!!!!(sing to the tune of U2s sunday bloody sunday - if you don't mind!)

Hello everyone!
Had a great night out with the usual gruesome crew last night (check my facebook page for pictures!). We celebrated the sis in law Theresas birthday and that of our bessy mate Jason and it lasted until 3.15 am!!!
So, today I started out with a little fluffy hangover head which didn't last too long really! It's so gorgeous outside I took my cup of tea out and sat on the decking and let the lovely breeze  blow away my fluffy cobwebs! The funny thing is though, we live about 15ish miles from the coast and yet I could definitely smell the seaside while sitting in the garden! The wind must have been blowing in off the coast and it was really nice! Made me want to go paddling :)
Anyhow, the grass has been cut, the washing done and dried (!!!!!) I've managed to watch the MotoGP and now i'm feeling uber tired. In other words, I need to sleep but "He who works" is having a snooze as he's off to London in an hour.
Hey ho! It's just the way we roll!!!
Hope you've all had a fab weekend in the rarely seen British sunshine.

Cute and Springy!

Good afternoon lovely peeps!
Can you believe this weather? It's absolutely fabulous and I've not sat in it since 9 this morning!!!
Which is so unlike me even I'm asking myself "what's wrong?" Hahahaha!
Truth is, I just can't be bothered sitting doing nothing in the sun while it makes me more tired than i usually am!

Anyhoo, down to business. This week I've been busy making birthday cards for friends and family as May is my 'worst' month for birthdays! Everybody i know seems to have been born in May!
So, today, I decided to make a card for a couple of challenges.....

The Outlawz - Flowers
Red Rubber Inspirationals - #120 May Flowers
Charizma Card Challenges - #11 May flowers
Stamping With The Dragon - flowers
Digi Haven - Spring
The Stamping Boutique - Use a Wobble!

I have used Spectrum Noir markers to colour my digi image (Pink Gem Designs) and die cut it with Spellbinders fancy oval die.
The backing paper is brand new from Kaisercraft and I wrote the sentiment myself. I mounted the image onto a spring so that it 'wobbles' when it moves!!! Then I added, ribbon, bling and, of course, flowers!

All in all, I enjoyed making this one xxxx

Cute!

Hi peeps
Just a quick visit to display my latest card! I used a Sarah Kay image (adorable stamps!) and created this one last night for the challenge at Spectrum Noir. As always, their pens must be used in colouring (which I used and love using!) and I never go OTT with the bling on cards. As you must know by now I do prefer a more CAS style of card but when I do make a "fancy" one, it isn't OVER fancy!!! I love how other cardmakers can make really fussy cards! I just can not do it!

My cutie card!

Birthday Millie

Good afternoon all!
It's friday again and I believe its poets' day - well, it used to be when I was in work!!!
Had a lovely morning being pampered at the hairdressers with the son this morning - chop, chop and it looks soooo much better. My hair was getting to that point where it just won't do what it's told anymore except drive me mental! Anyway, all sorted now (and the son's had his done too!!!)

This card, which i started last night, is a cute image of Millie from Pink Gem Designs and I'm entering her into the challenges at Sketch n Stash. For the paper I used my brand new pad from First Edition - Love Letters by Mindy Terasawa. It's new to me as I bought it from another crafter online so it's kind of new/old if you see what I mean!

Here's the sketch :

Little Miss Muffet challenges #85 Button bonanza
Art Impressions - #135 cute as a button
Fussy and Fancy challenge - #113 Spring colours
Brown Sugar Challenge - #93 pastels
Splendiferous Creations - buttons and bows

now here's the card

Tick Tock

Morning peeps.
Had a brilliant meal at San Marco Trattoria last night for the daughters' 28th birthday.
I absolutely adore that restaurant! We've been several times now and it has not let us down in any way - hope that continues!

Onto this mornings project.
A little card I made initially for one challenge but realised it would fit in nicely in 3 others too!

This cutey is for :-

The Outlawz - Wednesday Sketch
Divas By Design - In the pink
Mod Squad challenge - non-traditional card
Stampotique Designers challenge - pink & orange background

My clockface and sentiment is from a cling stamp from InkyDoodles and I thought it suited this card.
The challenge at Mod Squad requires a masculine card with female elements and the clocks and cogs theme is usually aimed at men so i think the finished card works nicely into that idea.
I also liked the idea that the main colour focus of it is pink but the cute little flower print fits the orange requirement in the Stampotique challenge and of course mainly pink for the Divas and obviously the sketch for The Outlawz!
Phew!!! All in all a busy morning of creativity.
So now it must be time for a tea break!!!
