And Finally....

Oh, yeah, I'm on a roll! Hahahaha!
I have just made one other card for a challenge.
Why? You might ask.
Because I can I will reply!
To be honest, I was entering my first card into this challenge until I re-read the rules etc and realised that Kraft cardstock must be used! So, I got out the Kraft card and this is what I made :

The challenge at The Kraft Journal is to make a CAS card from Kraft cardstock and/or products from their site, in only a few minutes! This one fits the bill as it took me 17 minutes in total to create it! Most of that time was in trying to eke out the Kraft from the die!!!! Nightmare!

Items used :
Kraft cardstock
Spellbinders GrateWorks die
Tattered Lace sentiment
Twine
American Crafts Ready Set Go paper pad.

That is, finally, the last post of the day as I am pooped and ready for bed (but not before I sneak a packet of Walkers plain crisps upstairs with my cup of hot milk and honey!!!!).

See you all soon

All White again!

So, I'm back!
I did say in my last post that I would have another little card to show you lovely crafty folk and here it is!

Again, I've made this one in the CAS style (yes, I'm always banging on how it's my favourite....BUT IT IS!!!) but added some pops of colour in the way of the lovely Bentley Bear!

Items Used :

Spectrum Noir markers
Neenah smooth white cardstock
Tattered Lace Starlight Plaque
Tattered Lace heart dies.

I cut an aperture into this card too (see previous post!) and overlaid the tattered lace die to the outside to give Bentley Bear a roses frame for his bouquet!

All in all, a cute little CAS card, methinks, and it didn't take long to make either!

I'm entering it into these challenges :
The Cutie Pie Challenge blog - challenge #83 white on white and oh so cute
The Cheerful Stamp Pad - challenge #103 Valentine
Crafty Sentiment Designs - Love, Valentines Day challenge.

That's all for now folks so be sure to pop back in the near future as I have some lovely items to share with you all !

All White!!!

Hi everyone!
Yes, it's that time of the day when, after crafting and making some loveliness at my desk, I eventually get around to writing the blog and actually posting some pics of my makes.
I had to go to the GPs first thing this morning for some blood tests and then straight home to wait in for a new bed delivery - which, I've just found out, won't be coming until tomorrow morning. Just as well I had no other errands to run today or it would have been a wasted day. I remember having things like this happen when I used to work and had to take a day off to wait for a delivery which didn't come - sooooo frustrating. Nowadays, deliveries are simpler when there's no job to rush off to!

Anyhoo..........
..........Today has been all about Clean And Simple. And the two cards I've made (yes, TWO), reflect this very well!,

This first card I made is for the challenges at :
Quirky Crafts Challenge blog - challenge #2 - Through the Quirky Window! The idea is to make a card with an aperture and place something within the aperture as a focal point.
Melonheadz Friends - CAS challenge

Items used :
Neenah smooth white card
Tim Holtz ragged lines embossing folder
Spellbinders nestabilities circle die
Tattered Lace Starlight Square die
Spellbinders Poppy Patch die
Silver Mirri card
Tsukineko Brilliance Starlight silver ink

It wasn't an easy card to make even though it has fewer elements to it than others I've made because it had to be precise! If the cuts weren't sharp or clean, then the CAS effect just wouldn't work.

Here's the finished article!!!

I will be posting another item shortly and probably several more after that as I've been oh such a busy girl!!!!

PINK!

Hi all!
I have another little card to display for a challenge at The Ribbon Girl today.
This time there's lots of pink on show! The challenge is all about pink so I'm not just using up pink stuff to make it!
I used a cute Fairies image which I bought from my fave rubber stamp company, Lili of The Valley. I can never go wrong with these cute images!
Anyhoo, as usual, spectrum noir markers have been used alongside Tattered Lace dies, Nitwits collection paper, Core'dinations paper and oodles more!

Here it is  :

As always, if you like what you see, I would love to hear from you. Criticism too if you want! But only about the card please !
Leave a comment to say Hi too!

Monochrome

Good morning!
Today I am entering a card into the challenge at Less is More CAS challenge blog.
As you all know by now (!) I do love the CAS challenges. It's not easy trying to make a card interesting yet use less products!
Anyway, this is my entry.

I used - Marianne Designs fence, birdhouse and bird set.
The sentiment is from From The Heart Stamps
The garden border stamp is from Indigoblu.

I can imagine we are all ready for some springlike weather by now. Today, here in Leyland on sea !!! Yeah, right! the day has started out bright and frosty but as we British so love talking about the weather I'll keep you informed of any changes! Hahahaha :)
This year I would love to learn more techniques in papercrafting. Not just card making. I keep trolling the internet for ideas but I think I'm using the same words so I'm not finding anything new! I wonder what the papercrafting trends will be this year too. If anyone does actually read this and has any ideas at all about what I'm waffling about, I would be pleased to hear from you!

Men!

Good afternoon all.
Today (or rather last night) I made this card for a sketch challenge at Quick Cards Made Easy mag on Facebook. The challenge is to follow this sketch:

I decided to make a card for a man as all crafters know men's cards are an absolute nightmare - as are men - and you really do have to think quite hard about the elements needed to suit a man. I know flowers and butterflies are unisex, and universal, but, sometimes, men just don't want flowers and butterflies!!!
So, even though the die I used behind the moustaches is a little ornate, I think it suits the card quite well! I'm quite a novice when it comes to using cork too but, again, the moustaches look quite 'manly' against the cork background. Adding some stamped cogs and a bowtie also 'butches' it up a bit too!
Hahahaha - love that word....butch! Lol
So, I'm off to do something else.
Quite what, I'm not sure yet but, believe me, it won't be housework! :)

Normal at last!

Hey all.
At last I do believe we are back to normal at home. Why? Because "He who works" is back to "work as usual" again! It's always quiet in his job just after Christmas so he hasn't had to travel far to work each day so I've been cooking meals again - first time in ages I've had to think about what meals to make each day! Hells bells I really dislike thinking up menus! I don't mind doing the cooking but it's hard work trying to be inventive every day and providing different meals each night. Well, that's my problem, maybe you all don't have that problem as, no doubt, you're all brilliant cooks and put me to shame!
Anyhow, the reason for this post is about "crafting" as usual, as that's what my blog's about.
This weeks challenge that starts today at Friday Sketch Challenge   is to follow the sketch (as usual) and to use an image provided by our sponsor Fitztown who are a digital stamp image store and more! In fact, there is a host of digi images, svg files, patterns and cds plus loads more to choose from including fine art prints, portraits and puzzles and oodles more! Please do pop over and have a look!

I've used Spectrum Noir markers to colour the image with Nitwits collections backing paper and pearlescent card, sentiment stamp, ribbon and white base card all from my stash.

This weeks sketch provided by Rachael

The card!

Hope you also enter the challenge as it's always great to see how everyone else uses the images/sketches.

Challenge time again!!!

Hey all!
Have decided to enter 1 or 2 challenges again this year and this card is for challenge #93 over at From The Heart Stamps.
Challenge is to follow the sketch and/or use the colours suggested. Have to be honest here, I struggled! For some reason my mojo has beggared off again and although I made the card, my mind was planning what other projects I could be working on and for who! So, my decision to enter challenges again might be a little too early! Well, we'll see.

Here's the card I ended up with - even though it wasn't quite what I had in mind when I started it!

Tools used : FTHS Flappy Birthday image
                     Spectrum Noir markers
                     Nitwits collections papers
                     Liquid pearls by Rangers
Oval multi frame die by Nellie Snellen
                     Generic ribbon and lace

Sunday = funday!

Hi de hi to all you lovely bloggers!

Today, Sunday, I had planned to do absolutely nothing but craft my little heart out - but plans like that never happen :(
Up to now I have done the housework, washing, shopping at the supermarket and only just sat down to eat something (gluten free bagel and cornflakes!!!) and switch on the laptop to watch the CHA show live from California! Love their demos and stuff!
Anyhoo, I did make this card yesterday for the reader challenge at Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I have made a drawer easel card and the challenge is to use their free gift papers and decoupage kit which, I think, I've managed really well! There are so many options for filling the little drawer. It could be sweets, chocolate, tea lights, just about anything really! And, as the sentiment isn't occasion specific, then it could be used for any celebration too.  I love this little bunny - he's soooo sweet! Unusual for me as I don't usually enjoy decoupage or even cute images like this but I did enjoy this one. So, good luck and fingers crossed for me!

So, that's all for now! I haven't much time to post a great deal today but I'll soon be back with (hopefully) a little more interesting chit chat!
