Owl always love yoooooooo!

Afternoon peeps!

Well, the title of my blog post might just be giving some heavy hints as to what is special about this week.
As I mentioned it yesterday, there's no need to mention it again.
Oh, go on's fix the fence week!!!!! Yaaaaaayyyy!
Only jesting; we all know St.Valentines' day is on Friday but does everyone know who St Valentine was?
Google xxx

Ok, education over so now for the interesting stuff!

Here's one I made earlier!!!! Actually didn't start this til lunchtime as I didn't have my crafty-mojo on this morning, Wonders will never cease eh?
I've been severely distracted by the Winter Olympics which I love - well, it's sport isn't it so, if it moves, I will watch it - however I am now an expert in the art of curling and it's the least energetic of the games so far so if I had to try one then that would be it!

Onto the card! I chose the Valentine/Love theme for these cute little owls who I purchase from digital site Pink Gem Designs and I adore them!
I was sorely tempted to give them names but talked myself out of it............for now!
I used Pearlised Ivory card from Crafters Companion for the card base which I layered with embossed Kraft card. Some of the embossed pattern I picked out with my Versamark pen and used gold embossing powder to give them a little shine.
I used Spectrum Noir markers to colour in the cheeky owls and used my stash to decorate the rest of the card,
All in all, a cute little card methinks!!!
Hope you agree!

I am entering this into these challenges

Crafty Little Fairies - Love
Cute Card Thursday - Lots of Love
Delicious Doodles - Love Good/Bad!
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes/Valentines Day

Cute Birdie!

Evening everyone.
Hope everybody's had a lovely weekend and I bet most of you are looking forward to the next one already!
I know I am as 'He who works' hasn't been home for 2 weeks now but told me they will all be back for Valentines weekend - fix the fence and chippy tea for us then!!!!
Talking about the fence (I might as well!) there has been no point in fixing it for several weeks as the wind has blown it down so often that as soon as it's back in place it's blown down again!
Also, going in the garden means I have to look at it and I hate when it looks bedraggled and untidy as it always does in the winter (and sometimes in the summer too!).
Really need to organise a gardener this year. I can't do the work myself anymore and we all hate doing it anyway!

Anyhow, the reason for the title of the post - this little card.

I made this using an image from which are really sweet and all £1 at the moment!
I used Spectrum Noir BT1 , BT2 and GB6 to colour him in!
The mint chevron paper is from Pinkpetticoat too.
I didn't have any minty coloured pearl gems so I coloured 3 of them with my Spectrum Noir marker (BT2) and it worked just fine!
After punching a border across the bottom, I found some narrow minty ribbon in my ribbon box and threaded it through - lovely!

I am entering the little chap into these challenges  -

Sentiment as main focus at Totally Gorjuss
Clean and Simple at The Stamping Boutique
Anything goes at Addicted To Stamps

Hi peeps!
Nice to see you popping by for a peep!
I have 2 cards which I'd like to enter into the following challenges :-

Ch 199 - Love is in the Air at Craft Your Passion

I used stamps from Woodware craft and Coloured it all in with Spectrum Noir markers

If you've just popped in from my Facebook invite, then..Hello and welcome.
This blog has only been up and running since the end of December 13 so it is all new to me and i'm still learning how to do things. My intention is to make it lovely! (but i would need to know how to do that!)
Have a peep at the cards i've made and if you like what you see, don't be afraid to let me know!
If you don't then...Sssssshhhhhhh!!!!!
I totally love messing about with paper and stuff so if there's anything you'd like me to make then please let me know. As I enjoy making things I'm not yet looking to make a profit on anything I make so if you would like something making, then I would only ask for the cost of the card and nothing more.
I also do scrapbooking (unsure what that is? Google it!)
I have made several albums up to now and if you'd like to see any please message me as, unless I've been given the ok, I haven't listed them online as they are not mine to list once they're done!!!!

Anyhoo keep in touch peeps!

Hi all!

Today I've endeavoured to do A - shopping, B - housework C - cleaning out the kitchen sink cupboard.
What have I achieved?.....A!!!!
Went to Tesco this morning and carried a basket instead of a trolley and actually bought just the bits I needed and didn't get tempted to fill a trolley so haven't spent a fortune for a change.
Treated myself to a sausage sandwich and a capuccino before coming home and not even tackling B and definitely not C!
I don't feel too guilty as I spent a couple of hours clearing out a few drawers in the bedroom yesterday. My other half has fewer socks n undies than when I got up yesterday morning!
Why do men have millions of pairs of socks n boxers? OMG far too many! Even more than me and I thought I had loads!

Still, the rest of today went like this
put shopping away
said good morning to son
entered craft room
made this card!

I'm entering this into Challenge 77 Anything Goes/Hearts at Artistic Inspirations

This is my second steampunk attempt and i quite like this one!
I used the Sassy Studio Designs Steampunk Victoria for the image which I coloured with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I quite enjoy colouring in!!!

See you soon!

Can you tell i'm bored yet?
Only kidding; I've just had time to play today so, without further ado, this is my entry into the challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

This is my first attempt at a Steampunk card. I only recently bought some cling stamps from Inkydoodles and ebay which feature time and cogs, so i had a go at using elements from the pack on the card.
7gypsies provided the sentiment as I have some rub-ons which I keep looking at and putting away again without using and I just hope you like it!

Hello again!

Earlier I said nothing much happens on a Thursday so I made it happen - another card for another challenge!

Actually, it has taken me most of the afternoon, just faffing about, to make it!

I used generice white cardstock for the card base, topped with black and white spotty paper.
I die-cut a scalloped circle from ivory pearlised card and mounted a white circle onto it.
I found the umbrella and boots image online last year and saved the jpeg for future use! Good thinking Batman!!!
Instead of printing and colouring the image, I paper-pieced it onto coloured card and used black glitter on the joins!!!
Anyhoo, it's my intention that it goes into the loved up challenge at Cardmaking and Papercraft.

Belt card

Morning everybody.

Nothing much happens on Thursdays does it?
Today is different!
Darling daughter is starting a new job today so a massive round of applause goes to her and I know she will be brilliant and do the new company proud (just hope her team of staff behave for her!!!)

Last night I thought it would be a good idea to enter a challenge at Daring Cardmakers with the theme Belts/Braces!
I wondered how my idea would translate to be honest? isn't how i envisaged it but here it is anyway.

Hi all!
Well what a disgusting day, weatherwise, it has been today :( .
Wind, rain, more wind and rain and now wind and rain....see the theme there?
We really shouldn't complain because, after all, it IS winter. The only thing missing is the finger-numbing cold and snow. Probably get that in March!

Been out to dinner this evening with darling daughter, super son and daughters' hubby. A pub close to us was closed down and refurbished into a new pub with restaurant - and it was very good! The food, for a pub, was given 8/10 from all of us which is a pretty high score really as we're quite tight when it comes to giving out marks!

Had time to indulge my crafty passion earlier and made this Tag to enter the following challenges :

The Squirrel and the Fox - #62 embellishments

Delicious Doodles - #73 - Die cuts and/or punches

This is the first embellished tag I've made up to now.
I made this with Kraft card, which I also used for the SIZZIX birdcage die.
The rest of the decoration and paper are from my stash x
